Imagine glass smoothed and shaped, either by the currents of the oceans, or by flowing rivers....pottery shards made by the hands of people who lived thousands of years in the past...arrowheads chipped from the rock of our native land...bits and pieces of crockery culled  from the waters in Europe and the Mediterranean...earthen artifacts and tumbled treasures. What do all these elements have in common, besides antiquity? Brian's imagination and creativity: drilling, wiring, piling ancient pieces together like tiny signposts; embellishing them with chips of semi-precious stones and gems. A line of jewelry like no other...first, worn by nature. Now worn by you.

Brian explains:   What are "WornElements"?

Imagine beach glass smoothed and shaped by the currents of the oceans and by flowing rivers....pottery shards made by the hands of people who lived thousands of years in the past...arrowheads chipped from the rock of our native land...bits and pieces of crockery culled from the waters in Europe and the Mediterranean...earthen artifacts and tumbled treasures.

What do all these elements have in common, besides antiquity? Imagination and creativity: selecting, wiring, and piling ancient pieces together like tiny signposts or cairns of old; embellishing them with chips of semi-precious stones and gems.

I have discovered the joys of working with natural elements: the unique patina of real sea glass and pottery shards, and the incredibly smooth feel and texture of the same river tumbled pieces. The awe of using thousand year old native peoples' artifacts. Treasures that Mother Earth herself bestows in the form of gleaming chips of color.

WornElements is a line of jewelry like no other...
first, worn by nature and time. Now, worn by you.
BRIAN REPORTS:
"I just received a shipment of artifacts I purchased in an online auction last week from a private collector from Boston. I have ancient California obsidian Native American arrowheads, a huge collection of tiny bird point arrowheads, over 100 new African Neolithic arrowheads, and even fossilized Moroccan sharks teeth. This is part of a collection that was accumulated over a lifetime, and I'm excited to start turning them into unique jewelry! Look for them soon in the WornElements Etsy online store!"

This African arrowhead dates back to the neolithic period. It's adorned with handmade African "trade beads" from the turn of the century.

Neolithic African 'bird point" arrow earrings.
A whimsical piece featuring a fossilized shark's tooth from Morocco.

Another ancient shark tooth, this time in a pendant featuring an African trade bead.

An African arrowhead pendant featuring a chartreuse-colored Trade Bead, made of crushed shells and sand.

Sharks teeth transformed into edgy, one-of-a-kind earrings!

Elvish Impersonators?
Are these pieces truly of  faerie folk origin, or just magick wannabees created in
the minds and workshop of Brian and Penny?Either way, this
River Glass jewelry is magical enough to wear on your next visit to the Shire or mushroom hunting under a full moon in Rivendell...

An enchanting amulet
of  forest green
River Glass is surrounded by silver tone beads
and smooth glass nuggets...

Mystical runes encircle
the top of this deep green nugget...does the wire wrapping send a message in the ancient Ogham alphabet? If so, what could it say....?

When the light shines through this pendant,
smoky gray swirls are revealed hiding inside
the olive green River Glass.
Sunset on the fernie glade glows with all the colors of this
River Glass pendant.
The heart of the Shire beats garnet red,
as represented by the genuine gem stone woven onto the front.

Our River Glass pendants are available at the WornElements Etsy store
and at all our Craft Shows (see schedule on the Home Page).
